Written during the pandemic, where mental health was an added threat to us all, I sat and wrote this song to try to understand and make sense of our purpose and why we are here when, at the time, suffering seemed to be all we were exposed to.
In memory of my brother's friend, who is missed every day by so many.
lyrics
This world you see
Wasn’t made for you or me
But a countless number, a countless number of stars
Spinning round us like Jupiter and Mars
Ooo, ooo
Where do old lovers go?
Where the heavens meet and the angels come to show?
Why can we only stay for a moment, is it so
We learn to love before we let go?
There’s no way to deceive
The intensity of life, would you agree?
Tales of Kings and Queens won’t cover it all
Nor will the silence when our curtains fall
Ooo, ooo
Where do old lovers go?
Where the heavens meet and the angels come to show?
Why can we only stay for a moment, is it so
We learn to love before we let go?
Ooo, ooo
Ooo, ooo
Where do old lovers go?
Where the heavens meet and the angels come to show?
Why can we only stay for a moment, is it so
We learn to love before we let go?
When our time is done
We’ll return to where we’re from
From a countless number, a countless number of stars
Spinning round us like Jupiter and Mars
